Robert "Red" Lawrence founded what is now Junior National Golf with a simple but powerful vision: create a place where young people could learn the game of golf in a welcoming, accessible environment.
Originally established as Tres Rios Golf Course, Red's commitment to junior golf development set the foundation for everything we do today. He believed that golf taught valuable life lessons - patience, integrity, perseverance, and sportsmanship - that would serve young people throughout their lives.
Red's legacy lives on in every junior golfer who steps onto our course. His vision of combining traditional parkland design with modern amenities created a course that challenges and inspires golfers of all ages and skill levels.
Today, Junior National Golf continues Red's mission, welcoming thousands of junior golfers each year and providing the same quality instruction and facilities he envisioned decades ago.
